Lukas Magyar Confirms Exit from Veil of Maya | Core Community

Veil of Maya vocalist Lukas Magyar has officially parted ways with the progressive metalcore band after a decade-long tenure, as detailed in his recent statement.

The departure follows the band’s indefinite hiatus announced in September 2024, amid guitarist Marc Okubo’s touring commitments with Falling In Reverse.

Magyar described the decision as driven by multiple factors, enabling personal and creative growth, with the past year devoted to his solo project SIFYN—including releases like the 2022 album Marionette and 2024 single “The Best Things.”

He also teased an upcoming collaboration with producer Joey Sturgis, known for work with acts like Asking Alexandria, and promised more projects in 2026. Magyar expressed gratitude to fans, the band, and Sumerian Records, maintaining respect for all involved.
