BURN ETERNAL: Howard Jones and Adam Dutkiewicz Release Debut Single “Wounds I’ve Made” | Core Community
A long-awaited collaboration is finally becoming a reality. BURN ETERNAL, the new project featuring former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones and guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, released their debut single “Wounds I’ve Made” on November 5, 2026.
The two musicians share a long history, having played together in Killswitch Engage between 2002 and 2012. With BURN ETERNAL, Jones takes on vocal duties, while Dutkiewicz handles guitars and songwriting.
Lyrically, “Wounds I’ve Made” explores past mistakes, personal growth and the challenges of moving forward. According to Jones, the song is about learning from the past and accepting that some relationships aren’t meant to last forever. Interestingly, Dutkiewicz revealed that he originally wrote the track around six years ago.
The duo’s self-titled debut album, “Burn Eternal,” is scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, via Metal Blade Records. The record will feature a total of nine tracks and marks the first full-length release from the project.
With “Wounds I’ve Made,” fans finally get their first taste of what this reunion between two longtime collaborators has to offer.
