Attila’s Fronz Apologizes to Beartooth’s Caleb Shomo After Joke Backlash | Core Community

Attila frontman Chris “Fronz” Fronzak has issued a public apology to Beartooth’s Caleb Shomo following backlash over a deleted joke about Shomo’s new look in the “Free” music video.

Shomo recently deactivated his Instagram amid criticism of his appearance, prompting Fronzak to post: “Looks like Caleb Shomo dropped the ‘s’” – a remark many interpreted as a jab at his style. Facing heavy online criticism, Fronzak clarified in a lengthy X statement that he meant it as lighthearted humor, not an attack on gay people, and attributed his skewed perspective to over a decade of daily death threats and hate. “I am sorry, and I will work towards thinking about things deeper before I just word-vomit shit into this bird app,” he wrote, wishing Shomo the best.

What do you think – was it just a bad joke or crossed a line?
